Indian Women’s National Cricket Team will look to rectify their defeat against South Africa in July by playing better this time around. Harmanpreet Kaur’s side are currently ranked third globally but Indian batsmen have yet to show their best form. Additionally, they have experienced fielding issues which make them vulnerable against left-arm spinners.

Australia skipper Alyssa Healy won the toss and elected to bowl against India at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam during an essential ICC Women’s World Cup match at Visakhapatnam’s ACA-VDCA Stadium. Both teams kept their playing XIs from their earlier encounter with South Africa.

India openers Pratika Rawal and Harleen Deol made an excellent start. Rotating intelligently between singles off their first two deliveries before Pratika unleashed an audacious frontfoot pull towards fine leg for four, the pair delivered an emphatic start for India.

Indian team are missing Harmanpreet Kaur due to injury, while Bharati Raina and Tanvi Azharwal will also miss out. West Indies are currently ranked sixth globally and led by wicketkeeper-batsman Hayley Matthews; her squad also features captain Stafanie Taylor, all-rounder Deandra Dottin and fast bowler Hayley Matthews.

The ninth edition of the International Cricket Council Women’s World Cup took place from 7-22 March 2009 in Australia and New Zealand, featuring England as they defeated New Zealand to claim their third and first outside England World Cup victory ever. Additionally, twelve teams took part in this edition – more than ever before at any Women’s World Cup tournament!

India and West Indies faced off against each other on March 23, and it was India that emerged victorious after an impressive performance by Priyanka Roy who bowled an impressive spell that reduced Windies players quickly to zero runs, Smriti Mandhana scoring 106 runs to lead her side to victory and Deandra Dottin and Stafanie Taylor who both contributed heavily with their bat.

At the 2023 T20I Tri-Series in North Sound, both teams met for three matches at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. India women won each match and dominated overall with Harmanpreet Kaur being their star performer, scoring three ODI wins and providing an outstanding bowling performance.

West Indies and Indian Women’s Teams met again for an ODI series in 2019. In the first ODI, West Indies pulled off an amazing win against India Women’s Team by only one run; Stafanie Taylor earned Player of the Match honors. But then India Women’s Team showed its dominance once more when hosting Bangalore match; taking command with wicket-taker Priyanka Roy taking three wickets while Smriti Mandhana scored yet another century; ultimately India Women’s Team won game by seven wickets; dominating all other matches throughout this series with their bat!
